Corey graduated in May 1998 from University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point, with a B.S. in Water Resources (emphasis in hydrogeology). He currently works for Leggette, Brashears & Graham, Inc., an environmental engineering and consulting firm in Madison.

At Stevens Point, Corey was a four-year varsity swimmer and two-year captain (specializing in backstroke and I.M.).   During his  fifth year he was distance coach at UWSP for both men's and women's programs. He is currently co-coaching the Monona Grove boys High  School  swimming team.   His hobbies include running, volleyball, biking, soccer, hunting/fishing, and triathlons.

Corey is married to a wonderful girl, Sara. They have a beautiful daughter Calla, born February 16, 2002. Wiley, a English Springer, and Sequoia, a golden retriever, round out the family.
